Dr. Bhavik Patel is a fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical care Medicine at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. He received his BS in Chemistry and BA in Classical Civilization at Loyola University Chicago and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Duke University where he trained in the Advocacy in Clinical Leadership track. He is interested in investigating whether differences in application of evidenced based practices for management of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) contribute to disparate outcomes amongst different socioeconomic statuses. He also is interested in evaluating the role of health policy in mitigating disparate outcomes in critical illness.
